Brian Matteson, MD, FACS
Dr. Matteson was born and raised in northern Minnesota. He atttended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, graduating in 1990 with a B.A. in Physiology. Dr. Matteson went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1994.
He then left Minnesota for New Mexico to complete his residency in general surgery at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Dr. Matteson went on to complete a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Upon completion of his vascular fellowship in 2000, he practiced General and Vascular Surgery in Olympia, Washington before returning to the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque to complete a Mini-Fellowship in Endovascular Surgery and held a position of Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center from 2002 through 2005.
Dr. Matteson has been in private practice with Cardiothoracic & Vascular Associates since 2005. He lives in Boise with his wife and two children.
