S. Scott Huerd, MD, FACS

Dr. Huerd was born and raised in Yakima, Washington. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Huerd went on to attend medical school at the University of Washington, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Huerd completed his surgical residency in Denver, Colorado at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and went on to train in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dr. Huerd is board certified with the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

In 2003, Dr. Huerd joined Cardiothoracic & Vascular Associates. He is married with one daughter.
